PSG are prepared to sell their record-breaking signing in summer

Chelsea are apparently interested in a deal to sign Neymar this summer, according to reports. To find out if the Brazilian is prepared to request a transfer away from PSG, the club will have to wait.

Following Lionel Messi's departure and the likely sale of Kylian Mbappe, the Ligue 1 powerhouses are putting the finishing touches on a rebuild. Neymar, 31, would then be the lone surviving member of the team's MNM striking force.

Although he still has four years left on his agreement with the Parc des Princes, rumours about his future persist.

Le Parisien claims that the 31-year-old had plans to leave the team this summer, with a return to Barcelona being his first option. In 2017, Neymar moved on from the LaLiga team in a transaction worth a record-breaking £198 million.

However, there is now a chance that he might decide to stay when former Barcelona manager Luis Enrique joins PSG.

They worked together in Spain and achieved a record treble in 2015. The Blues are rumoured to be contemplating signing him if this doesn't happen.

According to the attacker's annual salary of £22 million, PSG are rumoured to be interested in the possibility of selling him. Neymar's transfer would allay the French club's concerns over Financial Fair Play rules.

Additionally, it would reduce tensions with fan support because Messi and his home were both targeted by ultras in May. Since his ankle injury ended his season in February, Neymar has not played for PSG.

In 2022, the Blues were rumoured to be interested in signing Neymar but instead chose to concentrate on other players.
