Chelsea submit £39m bid for former academy player Michael Olise

The Frenchman impressed during his time at Crystal Palace

According to reports, Chelsea have made a "£39 million offer plus bonuses" to recruit Michael Olise, a standout player for Crystal Palace.

The 21-year-old has been "seduced by the Blues' project," claims RMC Sports reporter Fabrice Hawkins, and "in principle agrees with the idea of joining Chelsea even if there are perpetual discussions."

Additionally, it is said to be the first offer put up by Mauricio Pochettino's team for the highly sought-after French prodigy, who unluckily tore his hamstring while competing for the under-21 team at this summer's European Championship.

It is believed that Olise has a £35 million buyout clause, but the Blues have made offers above that sum in an effort to obtain a better payment schedule similar to the one they were able to negotiate when they acquired Nicolas Jackson from Villarreal for £32 million.

The teenage winger, Olise, has already decided to join Chelsea if a deal can be made, and the Argentine boss is a huge admirer of him.

The Blues are interested in signing the teenage winger, and their offer above the asking price might help them edge out Manchester City in the competition.
