CONCACAF Gold Cup 2023 Final: Mexico vs Panama: Where and how to watch?
These two teams meet for the first time in the finals
Mexico will play Panama in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup 2023. The Mexicans have a chance to win their ninth title and the Los Calaneros are in their search for a first title.
The Mexicans comfortably booked a place in the final after a 3-0 win over Jamaica. Jaime Lozano’s men won Group B with two wins and one loss. Their quarterfinal win came against Costa Rica. In the Gold Cup, the team scored 12 goals and conceded two goals.
Los Calaneros won a penalty shootout against the defending champions, USA. The match ended 1-1 and Panama won 5-4 on penalties. They are unbeaten in the tournament. After winning Group C, the Los Calaneros won their quarterfinal match against Qatar.
This is the first time these two teams are meeting in the final of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. Mexico will play their 11th final and have only lost twice. Panama make it to their third final and have lost to the USA on previous occasions.
