As player fees are released on Monday, the gradual reintroduction of Fantasy Premier League (FPL) 2023-24 begins.
Fantasy Premier League managers should put Monday, July 3 in their calendars since a new Premier League season also implies a new FPL season.
That's because it's the day we start learning the amount each player is going to cost in the upcoming season's competition.
The first 20-player pricing will be made a public broadcast on the FPL Event on the official Premier League portal starting at 1 p.m. on Monday, and the fun doesn't stop there.
Last season, Mo Salah began the year as the most costly player in FPL, and he maintained that position for the duration of the campaign. Originally estimated at £13 million, the Liverpool star's price tag by the end of 2022/23 was £13.1 million.
Kevin De Bruyne and Erling Haaland, both members of Manchester City, began the season with starting salaries of £12 million and £11.5 million, respectively.
By the end of the season, however, Haaland had surpassed his fellow player and was now valued at £12.4 million compared to De Bruyne's £12.1 million.
Just a handful of other players had season-ending prices of £10 million or more: Cristiano Ronaldo (£10.2 million), who had already departed Manchester United in November, and the Tottenham duo of Harry Kane and Son Heung-min (both £11.5 million).
Below are the players' prices for 2023-24 FPL season
Erling Haaland: £14.0m
After Thierry Henry, Robin van Persie, and Cristiano Ronaldo, Haaland has the joint-highest beginning price in FPL history with £14.0M. He is only the fourth player to do so. The above postings that are less expensive than anticipated may have been designed with this huge £2.5 million increase for the free-scoring Norwegian in mind.
Mohamed Salah: £12.5m
Nobody has been valued at £14.0m during the time of Robin van Persie, and despite breaking numerous records, Mohamed Salah was never even rated at that amount of money. Regarding the Egyptian, he really decreases by 0.5m to £12.5 million.
Salah amassed 32 contributions in the previous period, but his 239 total points were still 64 points below his triple-century in 2017–18 and 26 below what it was in 2021–2022.
Bruno Bruno: £8.5m
Bruno Fernandes has been reduced to his lowest beginning price since he was originally added to the game in the middle of 2019–20, which comes as a bit of a shock right immediately.
The Portuguese midfielder's value had fallen from £12.0 to £10.0 a year earlier, but FPL has now reduced him by a further £1.5 million.
Heung-min Son: £9.0m
Son Heung-min of Spurs will go for £9.0 million. A significant decline for Son Heung-min, whose price is now £3.0 million less than it was last summer.
We haven't had the South Korea international at a lower price since 2018/19. The Spurs star may hold significant worth for incoming head coach Ange Postecoglou, according to a substantial reduction of £3 million.
Martin Odegaard: £8.5m
Martin Odegaard ascends as anticipated after finishing 2022–2023 as the second-highest-scoring Fantasy midfielder. receives a £2.0 million price increase after completing the previous campaign as Arsenal's top Fantasy scorer with 212 points.
