Harry Kane set to be sold this summer if he doesn’t sign a new deal at Spurs

Manchester United, PSG, and Bayern are all keen to sign the English striker this summer
Tottenham owner Joe Lewis has informed Spurs’ chairman Daniel Levy that Harry Kane is to be sold this summer if he does not sign a new contract with the London club.
Currently, Harry Kane is on a salary of £200,000 per week. However, the new contract offered to him could see his salary see a 100% jump in his salary, going to £400,000 a week, bringing his yearly salary to £20.8 million a year.
The reason Spurs’ have given him an ultimatum is because his contract runs out next year, after which he will be allowed to leave for free. Something which the Spurs’ top brass definitely want to avoid. On top of that owner Joe Lewis and manager Daniel Levy realise that the Spurs’ popularity might plummet further if their talisman Kane was to depart, especially on the back of a poor season.
Spurs’ ultimatum to Harry Kane comes at time when a lot of major clubs are showing interest in the striker, including Manchester United and more concretively, Bayern München.
Both teams are reported to be on red alert in hopes to sign the English ace. Bayern have made a few high profile offers for the striker, including the latest one being £70m plus add-ons. However, Spurs have stated that they value Harry Kane at a whopping £110 million.
Kane was Manchester United’s first target in the summer transfer window. However, Erik ten Hag diverted attention from him towards Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund after Spurs chairman Dan Levy had stated that Kane was not for sale during the start of the summer window.
However, these recent developments have re-ignited United’s attention. Another roadblock in United’s pursuit if Harry Kane is that the striker himself is demanding an annual salary of £30 million, shattering United’s wage structure. This would make Harry Kane the him the highest paid player in the Premier League at £577,250 a week, surpassing Man City’s Kevin De Bruyne who currently earns £425,000 a week.
It is also reported that Spurs are not keen to sell the striker to a Premier League club. However, they will sell him to the highest bidder from any league.
