Inter Milan ready to make €40m offer for USMNT star Folarin Balogun

The Italian side has shifted their attention from Lukaku to this Arsenal striker

Inter Milan are looking to make a bid from Folarin Balogun. The striker plays for Arsenal and spent the 2022-23 season on loan at Reims.

The Serie A team are in search of a striker in the transfer window. They were targeting Romelu Lukaku, who was on a loan deal at the club last season. However, Inter and Chelsea have failed to reach any agreement and Lukaku's future hangs in the balance. The Belgian wants to play for the Serie A side next season.

It is now being reported that Inter plan to make a €40 million bid for the USA international player.

This bid is less than what the Gunners valued their striker at. The Gunners want £50 million for Balogun and the Italian club is £15 million short of this figure.

It is also being reported that Folarin Balogun has also gained interest from the Premier League as well as some other European clubs. Therefore, Arsenal won't rush their response and wait for a better deal for their striker. 

Inter Milan had earlier made two bids for Romelu Lukaku. Later on, they decided to drop their interest in the player. This decision came when the club found out that Lukaku had been in contact with Juventus for a possible transfer.

Folarin Balogun is one of the upcoming stars. Last season, he played for Fench club Reims and scored 22 goals in 39 appearances. Inter see him as one of the players for the future and are trying to build a young attack.

After missing out on the Champions League, Inter Milan will strengthen their chances for more titles in the coming season.

As far as Balogun's future is concerned, the Gunners are planning to make money from his transfer. They have already signed Rice, Havertz and Timber. Now, Mikel Arteta's side will plan to add one or two more players before the window closes.
