Kylian Mbappe left out of PSG's Japan pre-season squad

The French star could be set to join Real Madrid
PSG announced a 29-man squad for their pre-season tour of Japan. More than the inclusions in the squad, it was one exclusion which stood out as talisman Kylian Mbappe was not on the list of players travelling to Japan.
Kylian Mbappe’s PSG exit has been a dramatic affair up until now. With the striker’s contract expiring at the end of the next season, Kylian Mbappe has refused to renew his contract for a year and wishes to leave the club at the end of the upcoming season.
Speculations about his next destination suggest that he might realize his childhood dream of playing for Real Madrid. At the moment, it is more than likely that he will leave the Parc de Princes for the Santiago Bernabeu.
The striker himself has reportedly stated that he will continue with the Parisians for one more season and honour his contract which is scheduled to expire in the summer of 2024.
Kylian Mbappe has agreed to personal terms with Real Madrid
However, speculation is rife that Kylian Mbappe has agreed to personal terms with Real Madrid to join them in 2024. It seems that PSG have now stopped their efforts to try and convince the striker to stay in Paris and are worried that he might leave for free.
PSG are determined to not let him leave for free and will be looking to make some of the money they invested in him in 2017 back. Mbappe was bought by PSG from Monaco for a record €180m Euros, making him the second most expensive transfer in football history.
Kylian Mbappe's snub from the preseason squad comes a day after he was offered a historic 10-year contract worth €1bn to stay at PSG. If accepted, it would have been the most expensive sports contract in history. However, as he didn’t make the squad for the tour, it seems that Mbappe has rejected the contract and his determined to leave to play for the Los Blancos. And PSG, having now fully realized this, are trying to make sure his departure is not a loss-making affair financially.
