However, Yedlin affirmed that Messi's English is sufficient for him to speak with his teammates. Yedlin (via Albiceleste Talk) discussed the winner of the 2022 FIFA World Cup as follows:

"His English is enough to get by. He talks to everyone. I didn’t know Messi was in the group chat. Campana needed tickets for the event on Sunday. Messi popped in 'How many do you need though?' Straightaway like that. From there I was just like 'Woah!' You know what I mean. Like straight off the bat, they maybe know each other for three days or something. But to show that generosity is a great fresh example of how he is," Yedlin told reporters.

After spending 17 seasons with Barcelona and two with Paris Saint-Germain, where he won multiple championships and an unprecedented seven Ballon d'Or trophies, Messi joined the MLS.
