Manchester United name extra 15 players to USA tour in preparation for friendly against Wrexham
The Red Devils will come on this game on the back of a 2-0 win over Arsenal
This week, Manchester United will play a friendly match against League Two's Wrexham in San Diego, California, as part of their preseason training for 2023–24.
This summer, Erik ten Hag's team has beaten Leeds, Lyon, and Arsenal. Many senior Manchester United stars made a comeback to face the Gunners, but the team will need to be divided because United will also play Real Madrid in Houston less than 24 hours after this game.
In the 31-person team, some of the younger players will play against Wrexham, but due to the small number of players, some more experienced names probably will as well.
A 31-man first-team squad was selected by Erik ten Hag for the club's American trip. Included were Radek Vitek, Alvaro Fernandez, Kobbie Mainoo, Dan Gore, and Omari Forson, who will all play against Wrexham.
McNeill, who was not present for the team for exhibitions against Leeds and Lyon, is one of the academy players who will still have the opportunity to feature in the match in the United States.
Currently, the intention is for the majority of Manchester United's senior players to miss the game and concentrate on the bigger friendly.
However, ten Hag might still use the match to give any marginal player an opportunity if he deems they need further match sharpness.
In order to prepare for their match against Wrexham, Manchester United added an additional 15 players to their tour of the United States.
Sonny Aljofree, Toby Collyer, Jonny Evans, Will Fish, Isak Hansen-Aaroen, Elyh Harrison, Joe Hugill, Marc Jurado, Willy Kambwala, Charlie McNeill, Dermot Mee, Mateo Mejia, Maxi Oyedele, Logan Pye, and Shola Shoretire are some of the other members.
