Manchester United make opening verbal offer to Sofyan Amrabat

The Red Devils have already signed Mason Mount and Andre Onana

Sofyan Amrabat's representatives have received a verbal offer from Manchester United. Al-Ahli have submitted a bid for €15 million for the Moroccan midfielder.

The footballer is currently just considering moving to LaLiga. If he is unable to find a good club, he would want to remain at Serie A side Fiorentina.

Joe Barone, general manager of the Italian club, has commented on the future of the Moroccan midfielder to reassure Viola supporters that Amrabat won't leave.

Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, and Manchester United have all been linked to the player recently. There are currently no viable options for Casemiro at defensive midfield for Erik ten Hag's side.

When the Brazilian player was absent due to suspension, Fred filled in for his colleague. However, Fulham are quite interested in the midfielder from United since they want to strengthen their own middle of the pitch.

Sofyan Amrabat has been closely linked to the Reds in the past, and his brother even claimed at the time that Ten Hag had expressed interest in a trade in January, but Fiorentina had refused to consider a loan with a chance to purchase.

On Thursday, Inter Milan's Andre Onana reportedly arrived as an upgrade for David de Gea, and Manchester United made public its second summer acquisition. Rasmus Hojlund of Atlanta is anticipated to be Ten Hag's next target as they attempt to address their striker woes.

Having acquired Casemiro, a five-time Champions League winner, this past summer, Ten Hag is undoubtedly not lacking for talent in the midfield positions, but it wouldn't hurt to have another top-tier player at the ready, especially one with the traits of a legendary player like Carrick.
