Premier League to switch ball supplier from Nike to Puma after deal expires in 2025

This will end a 25-year partnership with Nike
According to the Athletic, Puma will be the ball supplier of the Premier League from 2025, ending a 25-year partnership with Nike.
David Ornstein mentioned in the report, "US manufacturer Nike had the chance to extend a 25-year partnership but negotiations failed to yield an agreement."
It is being confirmed that the English top division have reached an agreement with the German firm and Puma will become the official match ball supplier from the 2025-26 season.
They are the current ball suppliers in the Serie A as well as the LaLiga. The German manufacturers also supplies balls in the EFL Championship. Their ball named 'Orbita' is used in these leagues.
The deal between the US manufacturer and the Premier League started back in 2000. Nike Geo Merlin was the official ball in the 2000-01 season.
Nike is known for their research and after a lot of developments in technology, they used a ball name 'Nike Flight' which was billed as a 'revolution in aerodynamics.'
In the 2023-24 season, the new version of this ball will be used.
As part of its deal, Nike has supplied kit and equipment for the Premier League’s youth development and international events, as well as for the schools scheme Premier League Primary Stars.
Adidas is the official sponsor of FIFA and UEFA tournaments.
Puma is the official kit sponsor of Premier League winners Manchester City. They are becoming one of the leading merchandise brands in football.
A white coloured ball is used at the start of the season. In the second half of the season, the ball colour usually changes to yellow colour.
Mitre Pro Max was the first ball used in the Premier League in 1992. The English top division continued with the same ball until 1995.
Mitre Ultimax was used from 1995-2000 and since then Nike is the main supplier.
