Paris Saint-Germain are in advance talks to sign Ousmane Dembele and are prepared to activate his release clause as per journalist Fabrice Hawkins (RMC).

Dembele's release clause decreased to €50 million this summer but will increase to €100 million next month, thus PSG doesn't have much time to make a move.

According to the report, talks are "advanced" and appear to be being led by Luis Enrique, who is reportedly a huge fan of the France international.

Even though Dembele was linked to PSG on numerous occasions in the past, he has recently shot down rumours of a transfer to the French champions.

Last month, the attacker claimed there was "nothing with PSG" and added that he had no idea why rumours of a trade were coming up.

Rafa Yuste has acknowledged that contract negotiations between Dembele and Barcelona to renew his deal, which expires in a year, have been sluggish.

Mbappe has taken the starring role in the biggest soap opera of the transfer season after Lionel Messi elected to reject a sizable offer from Al-Hilal, decided not to wait for Barcelona to get their finances in line, and chose Inter Miami as his next destination.

Similar to Messi, he has also turned down a Saudi Arabian offer of €200 million ($220 million) each season after they made an official offer of €300 million ($330 million) for him on Monday.

Despite being placed up for sale and excluded from PSG's preseason trip to the Far East because his contract was not extended for an additional year until 2025, Mbappe may still be sold shortly.

The World Cup champion's transfer to PSG and Real Madrid are reportedly being negotiated through a middleman, with the Qatari-owned Ligue 1 powerhouses informing their La Liga rivals that it will cost €250 million ($275 million) to do so, or roughly €225-230 million ($248-253 million).

However, as of August 1, this increases to a cost of €100 million ($110 million), which is still minimal for wealthy Parisians.
