PSG preparing €80m offer for Manchester City ace Bernardo Silva

The Portuguese midfielder is a transfer target in Saudi Arabia

According to Marca, PSG are preparing a massive €80 million bid for Manchester City and Portuguese superstar Bernardo Silva.

Reports claim that the Ligue 1 champions will make this offer in order to help the fans get over Kylian Mbappe's saga.

PSG have the fear of losing their French striker in the summer. Mbappe will be out of contract in 2024, which means that he will be available for free.

However, Nasser Al-Khelaifi, the club president, claims that he won't allow the 24-year-old to go for free. This means that Kylian Mbappe would be sold to some other club, and the French club would use that money to bring in some new players.

Bernardo Silva has been on their transfer list after an impressive 2022-23 season. The 28-year-old led Manchester City to a treble win. 

Silva already has experience playing in the French top division. He played for AS Monaco before moving to Manchester City.

Bernardo is under contract at Manchester City until 2025, and his team is under no pressure to sell the player.

Saudi Pro League clubs have also shown an interest in the Portuguese. However, the chance of Bernardo going to Saudi Arabia is less than staying in Europe. 

The French champions have already made five signings this summer. Manuel Ugarte, Marco Asensio, Lee Kang-in, Milan Skriniar and Hugo Ekitike will be playing for Paris St. Germain next season.

Lionel Messi and Sergio Ramos are the two big names to officially leave the club. 

PSG have shown interest in Bernardo Silva ever since Lionel Messi was set to leave the club. Now, they plan a huge bid for the 28-year-old. City might plan to sell him and make some money from the transfer. The French club will look to deal with Mbappe's situation first and then see what the future holds.
