PSG ready to sign Marcus Rashford as Kylian Mbappe's replacement

The Parisians have been long term admirers of the English star

As per rumours, PSG have Marcus Rashford on top of their short list of potential replacements to succeed Kylian Mbappe.

The Manchester United forward twice scored the game-winning goal at Parc des Princes to frustrate the French team. Rashford has had the finest season of his time in front of goal, which has caught Paris' interest.

Should PSG be successful in offloading the international sensation, the 25-year-old broke the 30-goal mark for the first time and might step in to fill the vacuum left by Mbappe.

While Rashford personally has yet to agree to a new contract at Old Trafford, money shouldn't be an issue for the Parisians.

PSG have been monitoring the England striker since last summer, but no offer is anticipated from the French powerhouses. Erik ten Hag's hiring as the club's manager was the pinnacle of his resurgence.

With numerous improved performances during the World Cup in Qatar, Rashford's improvement was also noticeable at the international level.

Since Rashford's last-second penalty eliminated PSG from the Champions League in 2019, PSG have kept an eye on the 25-year-old. Rashford's uncertain future led the club's Qatari investors to seek a summer transfer for the player.

Rashford's tenure at that moment had a little over a year left on it, but United repelled PSG's interest by exercising the choice for a year more.

Rashford is seen by PSG as the ideal alternative for Kylian Mbappe, whose future is up in the air due to a contract impasse with the team.

Although Mbappe isn't expected to stay in the French capital through the summer of 2019, PSG may have to put Rashford out of contention to succeed the World Cup champion.
