PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi wants €100m for Marco Verratti

Al-Hilal have made bid to sign the PSG midfielder

Marco Verratti of Paris Saint-Germain is reportedly close to signing with Al-Hilal, making him one the most famous players linked to Saudi Arabia.

According to Fabrizio Romano, the Saudi Pro League team and PSG are close to signing the Italian international. The 30-year-old has been given a three-year contract, and negotiations have advanced.

Verratti recently agreed to a new four-year contract at Parc des Princes, but it appears he is already willing to break the agreement in order to leave PSG after 11 years and start something fresh in the Middle East. Earlier in the transfer window, he had been linked to Man City and Atletico Madrid.

The midfielder is about to join a long list of high-profile additions for Al-Hilal this summer. He'll join the likes of Kalidou Koulibaly, Ruben Neves, and Sergej Milinkovic-Savic in the club.

The arrivals of Manuel Ugarte and Kang-in Lee this summer have already improved the French giants' midfield, but they soon will likely need to make up for the loss of devoted employee Verratti.

L'Equipe reports that there are conversations involving Marco Verratti's probable transfer from PSG to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia. As both clubs work to complete the transfer agreement, negotiations have become more intense in recent hours.

The international player for Italy joined from Pescara in 2012 and has spent most of his career there. He has played 416 times for the Ligue 1 team since then, winning nine league championships.

Barcelona have previously shown interest in the 30-year-old, but their financial position prevents them from making a transfer.
