Saudi club Al Ahli in advance talks to sign Manchester City's Riyad Mahrez

Saudi Pro League club has offered the Algerian forward a five-year contract
According to a source familiar with the talks, Al Ahli are prepared to pay Riyad Mahrez €100 million plus incentives to leave Manchester City.
This week, a group from Saudi Arabia that included club president Waleed Muaath was in London to talk about possible agreements with a number of players, including Mahrez.
The Algerian forward has two years left on his current contract with Manchester City, but sources claim he is dissatisfied with Pep Guardiola's lack of playing time this year.
Riyad Mahrez started 22 games in the Premier League during the 2022–23 season; however, he sat on the sidelines for the majority of his team's knockout matches in the Champions League. On February 22, he faced RB Leipzig in his final European start.
Al Ahli are thus optimistic that they can pull off a transfer revolution and persuade Mahrez to go across the Middle East.
N'Golo Kante is expected to join Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo in the Saudi Pro League after signing a contract with Al Ittihad on Monday.
Al Ahli have announced they will pay Mahrez €50 million in incentives per campaign on a two-year deal with an extra year of a third, according to the involved source.
Riyad Mahrez is rumoured to be open to heading to Saudi Arabia, but it is currently unknown if City would permit the player to depart and, if so, what kind of compensation they may demand.
After Saturday's Champions League championship match versus Inter Milan, the issue is probably going to be resolved.
