Tottenham Hotspur forward Son Heung-min reveals he 'rejected offers' from Saudi clubs
The South Korean forward joined Spurs in 2015
Tottenham Hotspur starlet Son Heung-min has spoken out about rumours that he will be moving to Saudi Arabia this summer.
Numerous well-known footballers have recently joined Saudi Pro League clubs. Karim Benzema, N'Golo Kante, and Roberto Firmino are just a few of the players who have recently relocated to Saudi Arabia after Cristiano Ronaldo joined Al-Nassr in January.
According to recent rumours, Son Heung-min of Spurs reportedly turned down a proposal from a Saudi Peo League club. He disclosed the connections at a news conference during Spurs' preseason tour of Australia, as reported by Football.London:
"Probably if I wanted to go there I would be out there, not here. (Laughs) I love playing football, obviously money is also important. I dream of playing in the Premier League and still a lot of things to do."
I'm looking forward to it this season and obviously especially last season when I suffered physically. So this is not Sonny that I know.
I want to prove this season that I'm the Sonny that we all know. I want to prove that to myself and I want to give back to the club where I belong."
Saudi obviously most people are going at the moment which is really, really interesting but it's a dream for me to play in the Premier League and I'm looking forward to this season."
Most people agree that Son Heung-min is one of the finest Asian football players of all time. In light of this, his presence would have been an enormous push for Saudi Arabian football, but the South Korean is planning to remain at Tottenham Hotspur.
