UEFA U-19 Euro 2023: Where and how to watch?
Eight teams have qualified for the final tournament
The UEFA U-19 Euro 2023 will be played in Malta, with eight teams making it to the final tournament. Participants must have been born on or after January 1, 2004, to be qualified.
England and Spain have won the competition a record 11 times. France are behind them with eight UEFA U-19 Euro titles.
England won the last UEFA Euro U-19 final held in Slovakia. Isreal contested their first-ever U-19 Euro finals in 2022 against the young ‘Three Lions’ but lost 3-1 at the end of 30 added minutes.
This time a new champion will be crowned as England failed to qualify for the final tournament. Eight teams have made it to the final stage and are placed in two groups.
Spain’s under-19 team have a chance to overtake the Three Lions as they make it to Group B along with Greece, Iceland, and Norway. Greece have twice finished as the runners-up. Norway have never made it through the group stage. Iceland are making their debut.
Hosts Malta are making their debut in the UEFA U-19 Euro. Portugal are with them in Group A and most Euro U19 with four. Italy have won three titles and Poland have also won a Euro U-19 once.
