Several top European clubs are interested in signing the Nigerian striker

Victor Osimhen will remain at Napoli for the upcoming season, according to club president Aurelio de Laurentiis.

With reports that Laurentiis will ask for €150 million to sell, the Nigerian international is currently linked with PSG and Manchester United.

Aurelio De Laurentiis, the president of Napoli, spoke to the media about the transfer rumours involving Victor Osimhen.

De Laurentiis underlined his trust in himself, saying that the Serie A leading scorer from the previous season will stay at the club despite keen interest from rival clubs.

He did, however, make the suggestion that if Osimhen left, the club could be able to recruit quality players. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen himself were referenced by De Laurentiis as examples of Napoli's desire to sign top-tier players.

“We will see Victor Osimhen wearing our shirt next season, that’s for sure," De Laurentiis said.

“Then if a more than indecent proposal arrives, we will move on and find another top talent as we did with Kvaratskhelia and Osimhen”.

Osimhen and Khivcha Kvaratskhelia helped Napoli win the Scudetto last season, and they will be expecting that his decision to stay will aid them in their fight to retain their title the following year.

The coming weeks will show whether Osimhen's future is with the Serie A side or if the intrigue from other teams turns into a firm offer. Osimhen's ability to score goals can help Napoli in the future if he remains.

However, if he does leave, the club's attention will turn to finding new players to add to the group. As the club seeks to make tactical moves to further cement their team for the difficulties that lie ahead, Napoli supporters may anticipate further events in the transfer market.
