The 18-year-old will look to shine in Europe

Despite last-minute efforts from Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to take control of the transfer, Vitor Roque has successfully finalised the move to Barcelona and is set to join them in January.

For the past few months, Roque, 18, has stood at the very top of each Blaugrana's summer watchlist. After his impressive performances at the U20 South American Championship earlier in the same year, he became a target for them.

Earlier in June, Mundo Deportivo reported that Barcelona and Athletico Paranaense had reached a signing agreement for Roque that might have cost up to €45 million.

After visiting the Catalan team's offices a few weeks ago, Alexandre Mattos, the Brazilian club's chief executive officer, finalised the transfer.

Now, an additional report from the source mentioned above claims that Vitor Roque will probably be officially introduced as a Barcelona player the following week. When the Catalan side sends the last set of documentation, his transition will be complete.

While this is happening, big European clubs like Manchester United, PSG, and Tottenham Hotspur have called Roque's representatives and requested that they persuade the left-footed striker to reconsider his mind. The Brazilian prodigy has made it clear that he intends to sign with Barcelona this summer, though.

Roque, whose contract with the Brazilian club is slated to come to an end in May 2027, could turn out to be a terrific acquisition. He would quickly find a way to fit into their first-team ambitions since he is in his mid-30s.

Every bit of advice and direction offered to Vitor Roque by the coaching staff and his more experienced dressing room teammates is something he attempts to put into practise.

This attitude, which the Blaugrana leadership is cognizant of, will be crucial to his transition to a team with such an established style of play as Barça's and his success there.
