Indian Navy will start their campaign in the 132nd IndianOil Durand Cup when they take on Mohammedan SC on Friday, August 11, 2023. The Group B match is scheduled to take place at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata.
Mohammedan SC made a disappointing start to the tournament after losing their match 3-1 to Mumbai City FC. The team conceded three goals in the first 35 minutes. David Lalhlansanga scored a consolation goal towards the end of the first half. The second half remained goalless, and Mumbai City FC took three points from the game.
Indian Navy, on the other hand, will look to start their campaign on a positive note. Their current form will be a concern for the manager, as the team has only scored one goal in the last five matches. Indian Navy have not scored a goal in the last three games.
