Will Neymar make his Al-Hilal debut against Al-Ittihad?

Neymar could face his former Real Madrid rival Karim Benzema

Supporters were excitedly anticipating seeing Neymar in play since the day his €90 million transfer from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) to Al-Hilal was officially announced. The Brazilian forward is unable to make his Saudi Pro League debut due to a muscle issue that has kept him out of action.

Neymar, though, might make his Blue Waves debut on September 1 against Karim Benzema's Al-Ittihad, according to reports.

The former Barcelona forward was photographed participating in official conditioning exercises on Saturday, igniting speculation about an impending comeback.

Even during Al-Hilal's previous match against Al Ettifaq, Neymar offered to be named to the starting lineup. However, the club's administration decided to be cautious and rested the attacking player in their 2-0 victory over the Commandos.

During this month, the 31-year-old forward had not been seen on the playing field. He entered the pitch in what ended out to have been his final appearance wearing a PSG jersey against the South Korean team Jeonbuk.

He commemorated the occasion by scoring twice, capping off his time with the French powerhouses with a flourish.

Later, the Brazilian sustained a thigh muscle injury, and he has not since participated in any professional games.

However, Fernando Diniz, the temporary manager of Brazil, still included the forward in his tentative roster for the Selecao's initial two CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying matches.

In a press conference, Al-Hilal coach Jorge Jesus acknowledged his perplexity on the call-up.

The erstwhile Barcelona winger is currently working out with his new teammates, and it's anticipated that he will make his Al-Hilal debut soon.
