Neymar’s Al-Hilal debut delayed following minor injury, confirms head coach

The Brazilian forward joins the Saudi Pro League side on a two-year deal
Neymar's Al-Hilal debut will be delayed by up to a month as the Brazilian winger is currently recovering from an injury.
Neymar signing with Al-Hilal ended a week-long speculation about his next destination, which began after he made his desire to leave PSG public. He was linked with a move back to Barcelona and with a host of Premier League clubs as well, including Chelsea, Manchester United, and Arsenal. However, he ended all speculations when it was revealed that the 31-year-old was heading to Saudi Arabia.
The Brazilian forward will be enjoying envious perks in Saudi Arabia. On top of a salary of €160m, he will be receiving a 25-bedroom house, all his recreational bills will be sent to the club’s headquarters to be paid, and €50,000 for every social media post promoting Saudi Arabia. He will be enjoying the almost royalty-like treatment.
However, Neymar Jr.’s Al-Hilal debut might be delayed as he has arrived in Saudi Arabia with a pre-existing ankle injury. Talking about his injury, Al-Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus said –
"He has a minor injury that will prevent him from participating in training for the next few days.
"The duration of his absence has not been determined yet, and I don't know why he was called up by the national team."
Despite being injured, Neymar has been called up to the Brazilian national team for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against Peru.
The Brazilian forward has struggled with injuries during his spell at PSG. These injuries have also forced him to miss crucial encounters for club and country. Al-Hilal will hope that the Brazilian returns back to full fitness and showcase his talent in Saudi Arabia.
