DY Patil Stadium boasts of a capacity of 55,000, making it the perfect venue for a match of this stature.

Last month, the draw for the AFC Champions League was revealed, placing Mumbai City FC and Neymar's Al Hilal in the same group. Brazilian superstar Neymar may have the opportunity to play his first match on Indian soil as his club, Al Hilal, had been drawn in the same group as the top Indian side, Mumbai City, in the AFC Champions League.

The highly-acclaimed footballer, who signed a lucrative multi-million dollar contract with the Saudi club, was set to compete at the Balewadi Sports Complex in Pune. This stadium was decided to serve as Mumbai City's 'home' for the AFC Champions League, as their actual home venue did not meet the tournament's requirements.

However, there's a challenge with the Balewadi stadium as it has a capacity of only around 9000 seats, which is significantly lower than the number of fans who will want to witness the Brazilian maestro in action. Recognizing this issue, the ISL giants needed to find a solution that would cater to the enthusiastic fans, and they seem to have devised an exciting answer.

The match between Al Hilal and Mumbai City FC has been designated to be held at the renowned DY Patil Stadium, which boasts a capacity of 55,000 seats. This move addresses the need for a venue suitable for a match of this significance, considering the high demand from fans.

Mumbai City FC handed the update on their social media handles this morning.

Now, it appears that fans can breathe a sigh of relief with this update. The DY Patil Stadium, located in Navi Mumbai, promises to provide a more accommodating experience for spectators. Pre-registrations for tickets are set to commence on Friday, September 29 at 11 AM IST.
