Ratings: India go down to Thailand, bow out from Asian Games

Indian women's football team lost both their Asian Games fixtures.
The Indian women’s national team suffered a bitter 1-0 loss to Thailand in their final game of the Asian Games. A solitary goal from Parichat Thongrong in the 51st minute was enough to help Thailand win the game, and knock the Blue Tigresses out of the competition.
Here are the Player Ratings from the game.
India (by Uttiyo Sarkar)
Shreya Hooda – 6.0
Hooda was quite proactive in her goal, making some impressive saves to frustrate Thailand. Couldn’t really do much for Thailand’s well-worked goal.
Dalima Chhibber – 5.0
Dalima had trouble against the Thailand players’ clever movement, totally losing the mark of Thongrong for her goal. Her creative style was also not on point, with her crosses mostly being easily cleared. Moreover, she was unable to create much.
Sweety Devi – 7.5
Sweety Devi was arguably the most proactive defender and popped up in key areas time and again to save her side. Made a number of important clearances and was brave with her defensive work.
Ashalata Devi – 5.5
Ashalata had some issues against Thailand’s pace, losing mark of some players at times and giving the ball away too! Couldn’t really do much to deny the opposition’s goal.
Sanju – 5.0
Sanju’s wing was heavily targeted by Thailand and she suffered because of this. Lost track of the runners in her side and was outwitted quite a few times, including the build-up to the goal.
Sangita Basfore – 7.0
Sangita was brave and tenacious in midfield, putting in a lot of work and covering impressive ground. Won quite a few battles and moved the ball forward pretty well.
Dangmei Grace – 6.0
Dangmei helped move the ball forward with her distribution skills. Won quite a few key battles but was unable to really create much. Saw a speculative effort go well over the goal in the first half.
Indumathi Kathiresan – 6.0
Indumathi probably didn’t have the creative freedom she’d like, with the opposition players marking her tightly. Created a few decent chances, but was mostly focused on keeping the Thailand midfielders quiet.
Anju Tamang – 7.0
Anju was arguably India’s biggest threat on the day, but even she came up short in the final third. Tormented the Thailand defenders with her electric movement and got into dangerous areas repeatedly. However, she was only able to score an offside goal and created some chances that weren’t converted either.
Manisha Kalyan – 5.0
Kalyan’s threat was mostly neutralized by the Thailand backline that marked her well. Unable to get much freedom and even though she did get in some promising areas, her work wasn’t that convincing. Saw a few shots easily saved and created some chances that weren’t that prominent.
Bala Devi – 5.0
The experienced forward was not able to impose her authority much. Hardly able to threaten the Thailand goal or carve out any chances for herself or her teammates.
Substitues
Pyari Xaxa – 6.0
The speedy forward made some promising runs into the final third, yet couldn't convert the difficult chances she got.
Sandhiya Ranganathan – 6.0
Sandhiya worked very hard after coming on, helping with her side’s build-up play, but was unable to really threaten the opposition goal.
Renu – N/A
Renu came on for the last phase of the game. Her only prominent chance came in injury time when she struck a shot over the bar.
Ranjana Chanu – N/A

Sornpao TD - 7.0
Sornpao TD did well today under the post. She seemed confident with the ball, and also made some good collections and important saves to make sure that the Indian attackers do not find the back of the net.
Saenkhun K - 7.0
Defended pretty well today. Saenkhun also maintained good shape in the backline playing alongside Philawan and Thongrong P. Made some good interceptions and kept the Indian forwards frustrated.
Philawan P - 7.0
Philawan was one of the key defenders for Thailand today. She defended quite strongly and made sure that Indian forwards like Manisha Kalyan did not get much space to enter from the wings. Philawan also made some solid tackles and interceptions and did no nonsense defending.
Thongrong P - 8.5
Thongrong had the defence covered and made good link-up play along with other defenders. Made some good tackles and also tried to involve herself in counter-attacks by overlapping. Thongrong scored the solitary goal for Thailand.
Jeeratanapavibul - 6.5
Jeeratanapavibul gave good support in the backline playing alongside Philawan, Thongrong and Saenkhun. Made sure that the Blue Tigresses did not get much space in the attacking third.
Sontisawat P - 7.0
Sontisawat showed good command in the midfield, delivered few defence splitting passes and also tried to get through the Indian defenders but failed to convert.
Panyosuk N - 7.0
Panyosuk did well in the midfield and delivered good command over the game playing alongside Aupachai and Sontisawat P. The captain made few positive runs through the midfield and tried to open goal-scoring opportunities for Thailand.
Aupachai P - 6.5
During the early quarter of the game, Aupachai appeared to be struggling a bit. She gradually gained confidence and began incorporating her helpful build-up to Thailand's attack.
Somnuek P - 7.0
Somnuek did well up front for Thailand today but was just left to score. Somnuek and her co-attackers made sure that the Indian goalie was kept busy and tested.
Pengngam S - 7.0
Pengngam created a lot of goal-scoring opportunities for Thailand but left to find the back of the net. She kept the Indian defenders busy throughout and got through to the final third many a times.
Chetthabutr K - 6.5
Chetthabutr had no noticeable impact today on the pitch. Tried her luck a lot of times but was unable to find the back of the net. Later Chetthabutr was substituted and she made her way out for Praewa Nudnabee.

Praewa Nudnabee - 6.5
Praewa came in place of Chetthabutr in the second half in search of more goals, but left to find the back of the net and increase her team's lead.
Nualanong - 6.5
Nualanong came in the second half and played quite well. She brought in positive attacks and portrayed good link-up play with the midfielders.
Thawanrat - 6.5
Thawanrat did not leave much impact on the pitch today but surely would have brought more positive chances if subbed on earlier.
Phonkham Thanakon - 6.5
Phonkham came on in the last few additional minutes that was added to the game. Did not get much game-time but looked confident with the ball and tried building up constructive attacks from the midfield.
