SK Sahil signs for Aizawl FC

The 23-year-old has signed on a loan-deal from Jamshedpur FC.

Before the summer transfer window comes to a close, all teams are looking through their finishing touches and some last moment additions ahead of the 20203/24 season. Earlier today, Aizawl FC confirmed their signing of SK Sahil on a season long-loan deal from Jamshedpur FC.

Sahil has been one of the most promising Indian defensive midfielders since 2020, after playing for ATK-Mohun Bagan and then switched sides to Jamshedpur FC. He participated in 16 games with the Kolkata Giant, showcasing his excellent midfield interceptions and passing.

AIzawl FC confirmed his signing today morning, in Twitter(X) ahead of their upcoming season.

A good addition to the team

SK Sahil is the kind of talent that a team will undoubtedly try to sign, and the decision to pursue young players in the transfer market reinforces its belief that having the ideal balance of youth and experience is important. Thus Aizawl FC did the right thing when they agreed to sign him on a season-long loan from Jamshedpur FC. It's likely that Sahil will improve their squad before the transfer window shuts. With his command of the midfield and new defensive strategies, Sahil in Aizawl will undoubtedly benefit his team's young talents than him. He will also share his experiences from playing on the Indian football circuit for a number of years.

SK Sahil did not get much chances and game time while playing for Jamshedpur FC under Owen Coyle in the last season and thus, did not got a chance to excel much in front of Indian football fans in the last ISL campaign but that surely will not bring questions on his worth, as he has already proved quite a lot of times that he is one the promising Indian midfielders.

It will be interesting to watch SK Sahil play for Aizawl FC in the I-league in the 2023/24 season and fans will also wait to see what he brings to the team and how Aizawl FC players this season with addition of SK Sahil in their squad.
