Gameweek 1 review
Gameweek 1 had several stars who did not feature as the game between FC Goa and Hyderabad FC was postponed. Only 10 players featured in the previous gameweek as 5 of the players belonged to the aforementioned side. However, the results weren’t bad taking the absentees into consideration. The team amassed 49 points in total. Captain Dimi Petratos and Vice captain Prabhsukhan Gill won a combined total of 27 points (18 and 9 respectively). Fellow EB defender Jose Pardo got 6 points due to the clean sheet. Akash Mishra and Palestinian international Yaser could only get a point each for their performances.
Sahal Abdul Samad, Phalguni Singh amassed 7 points in midfield whereas star winger Chhangte got an assist for Jorge Pererya Diaz who scored twice in the game at Guwahati.
Gameweek 2 transfers
The new ISL season has just begun, and it's still early for major transfer decisions. While each fantasy manager has one free transfer option, the wise and practical move at this stage would be to hold off on making any transfers. The squad already boasts considerable firepower with the current 15 players.
It's essential to exercise patience and wait for the next week to pass before making any definitive decisions. Many teams are currently in the trial and error phase, experimenting with different team combinations. Some teams are facing challenges due to injuries, while others are focused on refining specific aspects of their gameplay. It's a period of observation and analysis before making strategic moves in the transfer market.
Gameweek 2 Line-up
For this week's game in the Indian Super League (ISL), the preferred formation is 3-4-3. In goal, Mirshad will be guarding the net as Northeast United FC hosts a Chennaiyin FC side that is dealing with several injuries.
In the defensive lineup, Anwar Pardo and Mishra are set to start. Anwar Ali’s Mohun Bagan SG against last year's finalist, Bengaluru FC, in Kolkata. Meanwhile, East Bengal will host Hyderabad FC, with Yasir Khan and summer signing Joe Knowles expected to play key roles in breaking down East Bengal's strong defense.
Mumbai City FC will continue their journey, this time to the East coast, where they'll face their former coach Sergio Lobera and former teammates.
In midfield, FC Goa's Noah Sadaoui is the vice captain for the gameweek and fellow teammate Nemil are set to take the field as they host defending I-League champions Punjab FC . It promises to be an exciting week in the ISL with these intriguing matchups and player performances to watch.
Dimi Petratos will once again captain the side and Chhangte will keep his place in the side and Joe Knowles is the latest inclusion in the attacking lineup
On the bench, we have Prabhsukhan Gill, whose team is set to face Hyderabad FC. Unfortunately, Phalguni Singh is expected to miss the upcoming game due to the unfortunate demise of his father. Additionally, fellow Northeast United FC player Yaser Hamed is expected to sit out, making way for Michel Zobaco.
It's worth noting that Sandesh Jhinghan is currently on Asian Games duty and is not expected to feature in the game against Punjab FC. The bench reflects the various factors affecting player availability and selection for the upcoming matches.
