Mohamed Salah is open to joining Al-Ittihad

According to Sky Sports, Al-Ittihad are planning new offer worth €200 million (£171 million) for Liverpool's star forward Mohamed Salah, but Liverpool feel compelled to accept the offer.

The Egyptian starlet has become the focus of significant rumours in the past few weeks amid reports that he would join other Liverpool players in moving to Saudi Arabia.

However, Liverpool remain staunchly opposed to this transfer going across, unlike free agent Roberto Firmino or midfielders Jordan Henderson and Fabinho.

However, Salah is the most well-known football player in the Arabic-speaking world. The acquisition of Salah, a player who is easily identifiable, would surpass Cristiano Ronaldo's entry as the country's biggest coup to date and be spearheaded by Al-Ittihad.

In fact, Al-Ittihad are so eager to bring in Salah that they are willing to pay him a salary that would set a world record and surpass Cristiano Ronaldo's £1.3 million salary. Salah would then be the most lucrative athlete in the world.

Salah's agent has made it plain that the forward is still dedicated to Liverpool despite the rumours.

The whispers, however, won't go away, and it has been said that Al-Ittihad will do whatever it takes to persuade Liverpool to sell.

Jurgen Klopp, who has been making no concealment of his desire to preserve Salah, was alarmed by those noises.

Additionally, Salah's transfer from Liverpool to Al-Ittihad is reportedly finalised, according to the Saudi newspaper Okaz.

They assert that the swap will soon be completed because the player has already arrived in Jeddah to finish the necessary paperwork.
