Barcelona eye Bernardo Silva and Dani Olmo transfers following new release clauses

Both have been linked with a move to Camp Nou in the past few transfer windows
Two players who have been repeatedly linked with a move to Barcelona over the past few transfer windows are Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva and RB Leipzig’s Dani Olmo. Both were heavily linked to play under Xavi.
However, the moves didn’t materialise as both of them signed a contract extension at their respective clubs. Silva is tied to Manchester City till 2026, while Olmo is tied to Leipzig till 2027.
However, it seems like if Barcelona make a push from their side, landing either or even both of them is not entirely out of the question. It is being reported that both have them have fairly affordable release clauses, even taking the Blaugranas' financial situation into account.
Bernardo Silva’s release clause is valued at around €58 million. Although it is still a big number for a 30-year-old, Silva’s quality and Xavi’s admiration of the Portuguese could see them making a move for the midfielder next summer.
Dani Olmo learnt the tricks of his trade at Barcelona’s prestigious youth academy La Masia. He left Catalonia as a teenager to play for Dinamo Zagreb and has been playing for RB Leipzig since 2015. He has been heavily linked with a move to Barcelona since the last two transfer windows.
However, Barca’s financial situation restricted them from making a move. His release clause is just north of €60m.
The Spanish club only spent €3.4m in transfer fees this summer. Their transfer window was saved by the likes of Ilkay Gundogan, Joao Cancelo, Joao Felix, Oriol Romeu and Inigo Martinez.
All of them either arrived on a free transfer or with discounted price tags. However, as they are assumed to be commanding a fair amount in wages, Barcelona’s pursuit of either of them will have to be preceded by a major exit.
