Bayern Munich join Real Madrid in race to sign Reece James next summer

Bundesliga giants Bayern Munich plan to compete with Real Madrid, In the race to recruit Chelsea's captain Reece James next summer.
Reece James is reportedly the subject of rumours from Real Madrid, who are reportedly lining up a summer transfer for the Chelsea captain. They appear to not be the only team in Europe hoping to entice the right-back away from Stamford Bridge.
Fichajes claims that Bayern Munich are interested in signing James as a replacement for for Benjamin Pavard, who left for Inter in the summer.
If Bayern are sincere, they would undoubtedly have to outbid Real, who were reportedly considering an initial bid of under £40 million for the England defender, who is still bound to Chelsea until 2028.
Bayern are considering a move for Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah for the summer of 2024. Chalobah, 24, remained put despite attention from Nottingham Forest and the Bavarians in an unexpected swoop for the player.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chalobah will be available again in January, and the adaptable defender is eager to revive a potential transfer to Bayern.
