Federico Dimarco is close to signing a new contract with Inter

Inter Milan's Federico Dimarco is one of the most talked about players in football recently. A few European clubs are interested in signing the full-back.

Carlo Ancelotti, Real Madrid's manager, has also shown his interest in the 25-year-old Italian defender. As reported by the Spanish outlet Defensa Central, the Los Blancos are interested in bringing last year's Champions League finalist to the Spanish capital.

Federico Dimarco has established himself as one of the best full-backs in Serie A in the last few years. A graduate of the Inter Milan Academy, Dimarco has won two Coppa Italia with the club. He has spent four seasons away on loan from Inter since making his debut in 2014.

Real Madrid are not the only club interested in this Italian full-back. Chelsea also showed their interest in bringing him to Stamford Bridge. Manchester City are also keeping an eye on him and are impressed with the way Dimarco is performing.

These clubs will have to fight hard to persuade the 25-year-old away from Milan. In a recent interview, Dimarco said, "I don't think there will be any problems, I certainly want to renew my contract with Inter."

Inter chief executive Giuseppe Marotta also discussed Dimarco's future after the game and insisted that Inter are planning to discuss a deal with their player. He said, "Dimarco proves the sense of belonging towards the club, we are happy and proud. He keeps improving and he is still very young. We'll soon meet to discuss a contract extension."

Federico Dimarco has close to 150 Serie A appearances and has also played 22 UEFA Champions League games. He has scored 13 times and created 21 goals. This season, the full-back already has a goal and three assists in six league games.

Inter Milan will look to keep hold of their player and offer a better contract.
