Chelsea and Bayern Munich keeping tabs on Arsenal's Aaron Ramsdale

Ramsdale is set to compete with David Raya for no.1 position at Arsenal

As reported by the Daily Mail, among the teams keeping an eye on Arsenal custodian Aaron Ramsdale's predicament are Chelsea and Bayern Munich.

The future of the England international is now less assured after Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, benched him for Sunday's 1-0 victory over Everton.

Instead, the newly hired David Raya took the field. Arteta has stated that he plans to switch out goalkeepers and may even be willing to do so during games.

Although Arteta's remarks imply that Ramsdale remains to have a significant role to play at the Emirates, clubs continue to maintain a watch on the situation to develop for the 25-year-old because they believe Raya may eventually surpass him in the Arsenal hierarchy.

In the course of the summer, Chelsea acquired Robert Sánchez from Brighton & Hove Albion and Djordje Petrovic from the New England Revolution, respectively. However, they are still looking to add to their squad.

As Bayern searches for Manuel Neuer's replacement, their top options include the recently signed Daniel Peretz and Sven Ulreich.

Ramsdale renewed his four-year deal with Arsenal in May, and he is still devoted to the club. Ramsdale will look to reclaim his place in the starting lineup when the Gunners face PSV Eindhoven on Wednesday in the Champions League.

After playing the first four league games for the Gunners, Ramsdale surrendered the starting role to the Spaniard in the match on Sunday at Goodison Park. Arsenal are set to activate that £27 million clause next summer.

When Raya made his debut, Arsenal won 1-0, and the Bees loanee's dependability when called upon fueled rumours that he may take over as Arteta's starting custodian going forward.
