Fulham in talks with Tottenham to sign Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg

Fulham are said to be looking for a Joao Palhinha replacement.
Fulham are accelerating their efforts to find a midfielder before the transfer window closes in a few hours, and as per reports, they are trying to bring in Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg from Tottenham as a last day replacement for the soon to be gone Joao Palhinha.
According to reports, Fulham have agreed with Bayern München about a deal with Joao Palhinha and he is almost destined to move to Munich. However, Fulham will not finalise the deal until and unless they are able to secure a like to like replacement for the outgoing midfielder.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has been on their radar for many weeks as the midfielder is out of Tottenham’s plans for the coming future and has been linked with an exit for the past weeks.
Tottenham manger Ange Postecoglou has emphasised on cutting down on the size of the Tottenham squad and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg has topped the exit list.
However, it is widely believed that his deal will go through because Tottenham are eager to offload him and also because Fulham are desperate to sign a midfielder before they officially let Joao Palhinho go. Fulham have reportedly sent their official bid to Tottenham. And with just few hours remaining before the transfer window closes, it will be interesting to see how the deal materialises.
Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg was linked to a host of clubs in the transfer window like Atletico Madrid and most notably Manchester United. However, Ten Hag’s side have shifted all their attention towards acquiring Sofyan Amarabat from Fiorentina. And with no official moves from Atletico Madrid, it looks like interest from the Spanish club has died down.
