Liverpool identify Rodrygo as Mohamed Salah's replacement

Mohamed Salah's could leave Liverpool next summer

According to reports, Liverpool are considering signing Real Madrid's Rodrygo as an alternative candidate for Mohamed Salah, who Al-Ittihad is apparently keen on.

The Premier League heavyweights spent almost £150 million to bring in Alexis Mac Allister, Dominik Szoboszlai, Wataru Endo, and Ryan Gravenberch over the summer transfer season.

Numerous attackers had a connection with them amid rumours that Salah will join the Saudi Pro League.Prior to the summer transfer window closing, Al-Ittihad made a £150 million proposal for the Egypt international, but Liverpool quickly rejected this offer.

The Middle Eastern organisation ultimately failed to improve its offer for Salah, but it is anticipated that they may try again for the Liverpool star in January or next summer.

When seeking a replacement for Salah, Liverpool will need to make a significant investment, and Rodrygo of Real Madrid have recently surfaced as a possible target.

Rodrygo was acquired by Real Madrid from Santos for almost €45 million in 2018. He made an impression for the Spanish powerhouses last season, scoring 19 goals and dishing out 11 assists in 57 games across all competitions.

The 22-year-old has appeared in each of the five of Real Madrid's La Liga games thus far, but according to the Spanish outlet Fichajes, they 'would be open to listening to offers' for him 'given the likely arrival' of Kylian Mbappe next year.

In reaction to the "threat of Salah leaving for Saudi Arabia," the Reds have "joined a list of teams keen on the Brazilian winger."

The leadership of the Premier League club views Rodrygo as the "ideal" answer, and Real Madrid are willing to sell him "as long as bids surpass the 100 million euro barrier."
