Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch to miss September International break and focus on club football

The Dutch midfielder joined Liverpool on transfer deadline day
Ryan Gravenberch’s transfer saga was a high-voltage exercise that saw many Premier League giants scrambling for his signature. Teams like Chelsea, Arsenal, and rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.
His unimpressive stint at Bayern München was enough for a move away from Munich after just one year. However, there were no questions or doubts about the midfielder’s talent and the potential he packs.
As a result, many English clubs were on the lookout for the midfielder. With the most amount of interest coming from North Western rivals Manchester United and Liverpool.
A virtual tug of war ensued between the two red outfits in an effort to pull the midfielder to their clubs in the backdrop of both teams wanting to rebuild their thinning midfield. Both the teams had significantly lost out on their midfields in the recently concluded transfer window and their purchases have revolved around developing their midfield.
Deadline day action saw both the teams aiming for midfielders. Manchester United eventually settled for Fiorentina’s Sofyan Amrabat, and Ryan Gravenberch made his way to Anfield.
He has trained with the first team and is expected to play a central role in the rest of the campaign for Jurgen Klopp’s side.
Gravenberch is yet to play a game for the Reds as he didn’t acquire a work permit in time to feature against Aston Villa. And with the international break set to begin, he will not be seen for Liverpool until after September 16.
Ryan Gravenberch has decided to sit out the upcoming international games for the Netherlands U-21 side as he wishes to remain at Anfield to acclimatise to the way Liverpool functions.
A press release by the Netherlands national team has stated as follows. –
“Ryan Gravenberch will not travel to Zeist this international match to join the Dutch Juniors. The Liverpool FC midfielder has indicated to KNVB coach Michael Reiziger that he wants to focus on his new club during the international match in September and will therefore not make himself available.
Fedde de Jong from SC Cambuur is Gravenberch's replacement. De Jong is the fourteenth debutant in Reiziger's selection.”
