Manchester City set to sign 16-year-old West Ham youngster Divine Mukasa

Divine Mukasa is West Ham United academy player

As reported by Fabrizio Romano, Manchester City will be recruiting West Ham United star Divine Mukasa within the next 48 hours.

The Italian writer claimed that a long-term agreement had already been reached, allowing City to keep stealing some of the top players for their own programme.

Before Friday, September 22, a transaction should be finalised, with Romano signing off using the infamous "here we go" in what may be a setback for the Hammers.

A long-term deal has been struck between City and Mukasa, and the club anticipates making a formal announcement about the agreement in the coming 48 hours.

According to the West Ham under-18 team's 2-0 victory against Arsenal last season, which sealed the league title for the youthful team, Mukasa impressed as a 15-year-old, according to the supporters' website Hammers.news.

Pushing ahead from offensive midfield, Sky Blues' youth setup has added Mukasa as another exceptional acquisition as the club's academy seeks to have a part in the long-term goal of the club.

Although this isn't going to be a direct blow to the team right away, Mukasa's rise to prominence with Manchester City may eventually be felt.

Of course, we won't know until any of that occurs, but Pep Guardiola and his team are beginning to just grab the best players and move them around without much resistance from the clubs.

Neither of the aforementioned young players in the region are going to say no when City calls with their wealth and hardware; that is merely a reality that clubs need to get used to.
