Manchester United's Amad Diallo expected to return after October international break
The midfielder picked a serious injury during pre-season
Amad Diallo, a young player for Manchester United, is set to return in October as evidenced by the 21-year-old's latest Instagram photo.
Amad Diallo was set to be sent out on loan for the 2023–24 season after a stellar Championship play-off campaign with Sunderland under Tony Mowbray, but Diallo's knee injury during preseason dealt a devastating blow to both his prospects of tearing into the United squad and the club's larger transfer negotiations.
However, it appears that the Ivorian is gradually returning to full shape as seen by a photo from his most recent Instagram story depicting him exerting himself in rehabilitation.
The Manchester United midfielder is yet to appear for Erik ten Hag's team in a Premier League match due to the injury he sustained.
There has been an update on the fitness of the young midfielder, so he might now be close to making his much-awaited comeback to the United roster.
The midfielder appears to be a key component of Ten Hag's schedule for the upcoming campaign, thus the Dutchman would benefit greatly from the midfielder's return to the starting lineup.
Diallo allegedly had interest from West Ham, Burnley and Everton over the summer, but his knee injury prevented him from leaving Old Trafford on loan.
The worst was first anticipated by supporters, but Amad quickly posted on social media that "I anticipated the most awful thing, ALHAMDOULILAH nothing serious." He's definitely motivated to go back into action for United soon, but it's unclear when exactly that will be.
Diallo's position in the Red Devils' lineup was contested throughout the summer, with some suggesting that he should have started instead of Pellestri.
Given that their assault has been a little lacking so far this year, United may still rely on the young player. Ten Hag's team will face Brighton & Hove Albion when they return to action following the international break.
