Ole Gunnar Solskjaer turns down chance to become Norwegian women's team head coach

The last time Ole managed a side was back in 2021
Manchester United legend and former manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer was given a chance to revive his managerial career, but he is not ready yet.
According to reports, the Norwegian FA offered the role for the Norway Women's team head coach role, but Ole is not going to accept the offer.
“Yes, I have spoken to the association about the job as national coach, of course I have,” the 50-year-old told Norwegian outlet NRK.
He added, “they have asked. But I’m not ready for that yet.”
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer started his managerial career at Molde, where he won the Norwegian league twice with the club. Cardiff City was the next destination for the Norwegian and he spent nine months in the EFL Championship.
After a poor spell in England, Ole returned to Molde and gained a bit of experience. His next destination was Manchester United, where he was already a hero.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer took over in December 2018 and was there until November 2021. Ole managed the club for 168 games and also took them to the UEFA Europa League final. Since then, the player has not managed any club or country.
Norway parted company with previous manager Hege Riise in September following a disappointing performance at the FIFA Women’s World Cup and the Norway FA have since held talks with Solskjaer about the role.
Many have speculated that Solskjaer may be interested in taking over the men's national side – but that’s not something that he has directly confirmed himself.
A lot of Manchester United fans are waiting for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to return to management. The 50-year-old is not yet ready to make a return, but a big offer in the future might tempt him to take the job.
