Paul Pogba & Marcus Rashford turned down chance to become Man United captain unde Ole Gunnar Solskjaer

Both the stars had chance to become United captain under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer
According to reports, Paul Pogba and Marcus Rashford were the two players who declined the chance to lead Manchester United under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
Last week, the Norwegian explained to The Athletic how his tenure as club management at Old Trafford came to an end. During his 149-game tenure, his team lost 38 games and drew 33 more.
He stated that several of the club's finest players had declined the chance to serve as captain, although he did not specifically name any of them.
However, The Sun article cites an unnamed insider who identified Pogba and Rashford as the star players who turned down the offer.
The source stated: "Paul Pogba was offered it but declined it since he wanted to leave the club.
From 2016 to 2022, Pogba played for Manchester United before returning to Juventus at the end of his contract. Rashford is still at the same club where he has played since he was a youngster, but Bruno Fernandes has replaced him as captain.
Solskjaer stated he was "very disappointed when a couple turned down the chance to be captain" in an interview this week.
In an effort to compel their way away from Manchester United, he also criticised others who declined to practise or participate in games.
When Ole Gunnar Solskjaer assumed the interim manager position at Old Trafford in December 2018, Antonio Valencia was the team's captain. Three months later, Solskjaer was appointed Manchester United's permanent manager.
After the Ecuadorian left, Ashley Young had the armband for six months before leaving for Inter Milan.
Harry Maguire was appointed club captain at that time, a position he held formally up until the current campaign when Fernandes replaced him.
