Neymar is yet to make his debut for Al-Hilal

Neymar Jr., a star for Al-Hilal, suggested the possibility that the Saudi Pro League would be superior to Ligue 1 in France.

This summer, the great forward finished a transfer from Paris Saint-Germain to Al-Hilal. He joined a long list of well-known figures who had just joined the wealthy league.

Along with Neymar, other players in the competition include Cristiano Ronaldo, Karim Benzema, Sadio Mane, Roberto Firmino, Riyad Mahrez, and Aymeric Laporte.

Neymar spoke regarding the Saudi Pro League at a news conference before Brazil's 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification match against Bolivia on Friday (September 8).

"To those who try to belittle the Saudi League will start to follow it very soon. I tell them that Saudi is a strong league. Look at all the names Saudi has signed. Saudi might be better than Ligue 1.”

After sealing a £78 million transfer to Al-Hilal this summer, the Brazilian played six seasons in Ligue 1 with PSG. However, due to injuries, the player is scheduled for his Ryadh-based club début.

Adapting to Saudi Arabia's climate and culture might be challenging for athletes who have spent the majority of their careers in Europe.

However, Neymar claimed that he hadn't encountered any problems. about how he adjusted to Saudi Arabia after moving to Al-Hilal.
