Scotland vs England: Predicted lineup, injury news, head-to-head, telecast
150th Anniversary of the oldest international fixture
Scotland and England are set to play a special friendly match to mark the 150th anniversary of their first-ever international match. Their first-ever encounter in 1872 ended in a 0-0 draw, and since then there have been over 100 meetings between the two nations from the UK.
Now, they are lining up to play their first friendly match against each other in nearly nine years. However, they have had three competitive meetings in this space of time while two of them have ended in a stalemate.
Meanwhile, Scotland are doing well in their Euro 2024 qualification- leading Group A by nine points over Spain, who have two games in hand. The Scots began their campaign with two home wins, Georgia 2-0 and Cyprus 3-0, followed by a 2-1 victory in Norway. Solidifying their chances of qualifying.
On the other hand, England, despite a recent 1-1 draw with Ukraine, tops Group C. The Lions are six points ahead of Ukraine and nine ahead of Italy, with two games in hand. Italy and England meet in October in a repeat of a Euro 2020 final clash where the Italians took the trophy home.

Players to watch out for in Scotland vs England
Andrew Robertson (Scotland)
Andrew Robertson is the kind of leader a team yearns for. Whether on the pitch or in the locker room, he has led the Scotland National Team by example. Unlike at Liverpool, Robertson has featured in multiple positions for his National side. From playing as a Left Midfielder to popping at his usual Left-Back position. The opposition must always be wary of Robertson. Come Tuesday expect the Scottish captain to prove to be a menace for the English defence with his deadly crosses and bursting runs.
Jude Bellingham (England)
Jude Bellingham was a staple name for English future starboys. But the Boy from Brum popped off during the 2022 Qatar World Cup, leading the English midfield from the front at just 19. Now, at Madrid, he's had an incredible start to the season, scoring five goals in his first four games, which equals Cristiano Ronaldo's La Liga record. Gareth Southgate will be hoping for Bellingham to maintain this form for the national team in upcoming friendlies and then, in the Euros as well.
Injury and team news for Scotland vs England
The home side does not have any major concerns as they won the last game 3-2 against Cyprus. So, Steve Clarke will be looking to field his best XI against his English counterpart.
Barring a few changes, like Nathan Patterson at the right wing-back position and Stuart Armstrong in midfield, the Scots look good to go. The big names set to feature include the skipper Andrew Robertson, John McGinn, Scott McTominay, and even Kieran Tierney.
On the other hand, their travelling neighbours are expected to step on the pitch with a different XI than the one that drew against Ukraine. Gareth Southgate will be looking to play a strong attack of Marcus Rashford, Harry Kane, and Bukayo Saka.
Additionally, Levi Colwill is expected to make his 'well-earned' international debut in the back four. As there are the likes of Wilson, and even Eze who could get a few minutes. Southgate is likely to stick with his current lineup to avoid more criticism if they lose on Tuesday, especially after their poor performance against Ukraine.

Predicted lineup for Scotland vs England

Match prediction for Scotland vs England
Scotland is in great form right now, and England being England you can expect goals from that midfield and attack. So, Tuesday's game promises to be exciting. It is just that both the defences are looking really weak on paper compared to each of the midfield and attacks. Neutrals can expect an entertaining match.
Prediction: Scotland 2 - 2 England
