"With Manchester United there was always lot of noise," says Thomas Tuchel

Thomas Tuchel has sympathised with Erik ten Hag
Prior to their first meeting at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday, Thomas Tuchel and Erik ten Hag can understand how one feels when it pertains to the magnitude of the limelight on both of their clubs.
For better or worse, the biggest clubs and national teams in Germany and the Netherlands are led by their respective managers. Bayern Munich won the Bundesliga for the 11th straight season last year, although the team appeared to be in turmoil throughout the majority of the season.
With Ten Hag in charge, Manchester United had a promising first season, but at Old Trafford, the crisis situation is never far away. United are on the verge with that shattered badge that denotes a team that has lost oversight, even if they aren't quite there yet.
For the very first time in 34 years, they have dropped three of their opening five league contests, and Jadon Sancho and Antony, two wingers who cost a combined £158 million to acquire, are at present ineligible for consideration.
"I felt with Manchester United there was always a lot of noise, a lot of pundits are ex-players from Manchester United, you have this legacy from Sir Alex Ferguson which creates a lot of pressure, a lot of expectation around Manchester United," the Bayern boss said.
"It tells you you work at a big club, big expectations, big success. All of us here in Bayern and my colleagues at Manchester United want to achieve the same things."
"I would not say it's an advantage for us, it's common that little things become bigger than at other clubs or the talking about it is noisy," he said.
"I think within, I can only assume they coach in an environment where players grow and reach their top level. That's what we're trying to do - instil rules and a winning culture.
Whether they are performing well or not, United frequently command the news agenda, and Tuchel is aware of this from his time at Chelsea. Ten Hag is starting to learn for himself about how many former United players currently are employed as pundits, which, in his opinion, makes the club more newsworthy if things don't turn out well.
