Xavi confirms new contracts for Lamine Yamal & Balde
Lamine Yamal and Balde are products of La Masia
In a recent press conference, Xavi revealed Both Lamine Yamal and Alejandro Balde have signed a new contract.
The contracts, according to rumours, were reached during the preseason tour and executed prior to the beginning of the forthcoming campaign. The source claims that while the Yamal agreement is 2 years shorter, the new Balde deal is active until June 2028.
The signing of a football player under the age of sixteen was prohibited by La Liga's player register regulations until the summer of 2026.
Both athletes are former Barçelona youth academy players. Lamine Yamal earned his first appearance in the first team under Xavi's direction at the end of the previous season, and this year he has previously succeeded in getting himself in the starting lineup while also breaking a number of age records.
Balde, 19, has already established himself on the left edge of the defence despite his young age. We also see that the Spanish national football team is currently in the process of recruiting football players.
Romano believes there will be a statement from Barcelona soon, though it has not yet occurred. Given both players' amazing starts to their careers, the new contracts signed by the Spanish teens represent significant victories for the Blaugrana.
By becoming the youngest player for Barcelona this century, Lamine Yamal has contributed to history. This past season, he made his debut against Real Betis at the age of just 15 years, and 9 months, making him their youngest-ever debutant.
Many consider the talented teenage winger to be the best La Masia academy graduate since Lionel Messi as a result of his remarkable development. He became the youngest player and goal scorer for his country when he scored for Spain on his international debut.
In the course of the summer, Manchester City launched an effort to acquire Yamal. The La Liga giants promptly rejected their overtures, and the young player wished to remain with the team.
Alejandro Balde, meanwhile, has rapidly cemented himself as Xavi's go-to right-back. In 54 games across different leagues, he has one goal and seven assists.
