Top five clubs that can sign Joao Felix in January 2023

Several transfers are likely to take place in the winter window with clubs trying to reinforce their squads in order to achieve their respective objectives. Joao Felix is one of the many players who are inching closer to a move in the upcoming days.

A lot of footballers made the headlines during the FIFA World Cup 2022. These players will be on the target list of elite clubs across Europe. In the context of the Portuguese attacker, he is likely to leave Atletico Madrid with several suitors lining up to get his signature.

A player of his quality will certainly aid any club that manages to recruit him. A loan deal with an option to buy is a realistic option with Felix still bearing a massive price tag. Keeping his quality in mind, here are the five clubs that can sign him in January 2022:

FC Barcelona

Joao Felix wants to leave Atletico Madrid after running out of patience with Diego Simeone. In a scenario where the player prefers to stay in Spain and play in LaLiga, FC Barcelona can be a good destination for him. The playing style of the club suits the player and he will add to the depth of the team.

Furthermore, with Memphis Depay inching closer to the exit door, the club could replace him with Felix. A loan deal is not out of the question. The two clubs have traded players before, most notably Luis Suarez and Antoine Griezmann.

Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain has a habit of making sensational transfers and hogging all of the limelight. The club is linked with Joao Felix as it aims to win the Ligue 1 and the UEFA Champions League. 

The French giants have the financial strength to land Felix. His inclusion in a squad that boasts players like Kylian Mbappe, Lionel Messi and Neymar could spell trouble for their opponents. 

Newcastle United

Newcastle United has extremely rich owners. The club has the financial might to land any elite superstar and it is about to flex its muscles in the transfer market. Joao Felix could be the poster boy for their evolution into a contender for top-four places in the Premier League table.

The Portuguese star would relish the chance to be the centre of a new sporting project at NUFC. His asking price at the moment is approximately in the region of €50.00m-€100.00m.
