Eurosport set to broadcast I-League 2023-24 season
I-League 2023-24 season starts on 28 October
Khel Now exclusively confirms that Eurosport is all set to broadcast the I-League 2023-24. The I-League season is scheduled to kick off on October 28, 2023, featuring a total of 13 teams, one more than last year, participating in the tournament.
The teams participating include Sreenidi Deccan FC, Gokulam Kerala FC, Tiddim Road Athletic Union, Real Kashmir FC, Churchill Brothers FC Goa, Aizawl FC, Mohammedan Sporting Club, Rajasthan United FC, Neroca FC, Shillong Lajong FC, Delhi FC, Inter Kashi, and Punjab Namdhari Sports.
Inter Kashi from Uttar Pradesh and Namdhari Sports from Punjab are the latest additions to the I-League 2023-24, having secured entry through a direct bid approved by the AIFF.
Delhi FC defeated Ambernath United Atlanta FC 3-1, emerging as the second-division champions and earning their first-ever promotion to the I-League. Shillong Lajong is back in the Hero I-League after a four-year hiatus, becoming the first team to secure promotion to the 2023-24 Hero I-League from the ongoing Hero 2nd Division League season.
This season's I-League will feature a total of 100 matches. Additionally, the winner of the ISL 2023-24 will secure a spot in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25. Last year's I-League champions, Punjab FC, are currently competing in the ISL 2023-24.
