The kick-off time for Mumbai City FC’s ISL home game against Hyderabad is also postponed.

In a move that highlights the significance of cultural celebrations in India, two Indian Super League (ISL) matches slated to take place in Kolkata have been rescheduled and postponed due to the forthcoming Durga Puja festivities. The announcement comes as the city gears up for one of its most important and widely celebrated festivals and the state police reportedly is unable to provide the security arrangements required to host the games.

Here are the changes in the fixtures confirmed by the ISL organizers:

East Bengal FC vs FC Goa Moved to Bhubaneswar

Originally scheduled to take place at the Salt Lake Stadium in Kolkata on October 21, the match between East Bengal FC and FC Goa has been shifted to Bhubaneswar. The game will now be held at the Kalinga Stadium on the same date, with kickoff at 5:30 PM.

Mohun Bagan vs East Bengal FC Deferred

Another fixture affected is the highly anticipated match between Mohun Bagan and East Bengal FC. Initially set for October 28 at the Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan in Kolkata, the clash between these arch-rivals has been deferred to a later date. Details of the revised fixture will be communicated by the league at a later time.

Mumbai City FC vs Hyderabad FC Kick-off Time Changed

In addition to the rescheduling of matches in Kolkata, changes have been made to the kick-off time of the game between Mumbai City FC and Hyderabad FC, scheduled for October 28 at the Mumbai Football Arena. Originally set to begin at 5:30 PM, the match will now kick off at 8 PM.
