Goa crowned Junior Girls National Football Championship Tier-2 champions

Pearl Fernandes scored the solitary goal for Goa in the final.
Goa emerged champions of Junior National Football Championship for Girls (Tier-2) following their 1-0 win over Andhra Pradesh in Jaipur. The team now will play in Tier-1 in the next season.
Pearl Fernandes scored the only goal of the game for Goa. Pearl scored 12 goals in five games for Goa throughout the campaign.
Under the guidance of their dedicated coach, Jonathan Faleiro, the Goa team exhibited exceptional performance throughout. Ria Rajesh, Geuel D’Souza, and their teammates demonstrated remarkable synergy on the field. In the group stage, Goa outclassed Karnataka FA with a resounding 4-0 victory and then went on to defeat Ladakh convincingly with a scoreline of 5-0, securing their spot at the top of the group. Later Goa defeated Assam 3-0 despite playing with a player sent off.

"Pearl Fernandes, your goal-scoring prowess has been truly inspiring, and your contribution throughout the campaign, scoring 12 goals in five games, reflects your dedication and skill on the field. Under the guidance of Coach Jonathan Faleiro, your team's synergy and performance have been nothing short of exceptional," he added.
"I would also like to acknowledge the crucial roles played by the coaching staff, Team Manager Leincy Peixoto, Head Coach Jonathan Faleiro, Assistant Coach Jeromina Colaco, and Physiotherapist Judrica Dias. Your guidance and support have been invaluable in shaping these young talents into champions," stated Dr. Caitano.
"As the President of the Goa Football Association, I am thrilled to announce that your victory has earned you a well-deserved place in Tier-1 for the next season. I have no doubt that with your skill and determination, you will continue to achieve greater heights and bring more glory to Goan football," he concluded.
