Axel Disasi replaces injured Jules Kounde in France squad

France will face Netherlands and Scotland in October games

For forthcoming matches, Axel Disasi has now received a last-minute call-up to the France national team. Jules Kounde, a defender for Barcelona, withdrew due to injury; a defender for Chelsea will take his spot.

Many people who have been following Disasi's previous performance are going to be disappointed to see him not selected for the initial World Cup runners-up squad.

The player has been outstanding lately and has impressed ever since moving for £38 million last summer.

He was welcomed with little fanfare but made a quick mark on the supporters by netting against Liverpool on the first day of the campaign.

Disasi has been a mainstay in the squad at Chelsea under Mauricio Pochettino despite having outstanding players in his position.

Hawkins claims that he was just recently awarded the honour of being called up to the national squad, despite his great play making it clear that he deserved it.

When the Premier League resumes in a few weeks, Chelsea fans and the staff of coaches will only be hoping that he recovers unharmed.

When Chelsea hosts Arsenal at Stamford Bridge in the upcoming game, he will unquestionably be in Pochettino's starting lineup.

Following his summer transfer from the Monaco club, the longtime AS Monaco centre-back has solidified his spot at the heart of Chelsea's defence under Mauricio Pochettino, playing all eight Premier League games thus far this season.

Friday's European Champions qualifying match between France and the Netherlands is followed by a friendly matchup against Scotland on Tuesday.
