Cristiano Ronaldo looking to extend Al-Nassr contract until 2027

The Portuguese joined the Saudi side in 2022
Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo reportedly has informed Al Nassr management that he wants to extend his contract with the team through the year 2027.
Ronaldo came to Saudi Arabia in December 2022, and he has adjusted well to life there, scoring 25 goals and dishing out eight assists in 30 games.
With Al Nassr presently lying third in the league's standings below Al Taawoun and Neymar's Al Hilal, the 38-year-old has been named captain.
The striker has informed club administration that he wants to prolong his time in Saudi Arabia until 2027, as reported by football journalist Ali Al-Harbi.
A post on X released by Al-Harbi read: 'Cristiano Ronaldo informed the management of the Saudi #النصر club before travelling to the Portuguese national team camp that he wants to renew his contract until the beginning of 2027.
'Cristiano wants to play the 2026 World Cup while he is a player for Al-Nassr Club, and then he will announce his retirement from football.'
Ronaldo will turn 41 while competing in the World Cup, an amazing accomplishment even for a legendary athlete like the striker.
The United States of America, Mexico, and Canada are scheduled to host the competition in 2026.
At the last World Cup, Ronaldo was substituted for PSG's Concalo Ramos, and his team was eliminated by Morocco in the quarterfinals.
Al-Harbi appears to be implying that Ronaldo will stop playing football altogether after the World Cup, so these could be the final few seasons for fans to see the superstar in action.
