England’s Tyrick Mitchell considers changing national allegiance to Jamaica

The defender has made two appearances for England
Tyrick Mitchell, a defender for Crystal Palace, is considering offers from Jamaica after once again changing his decision to become an England player.
For more than a year, Jamaica has been trying to convince Mitchell to change his country of allegiance, and he is seriously considering it.
Due to an injury crisis at the position, Three Lions manager Gareth Southgate decided not to select a natural left defender for the forthcoming matches against Australia and Italy.
Although Chelsea's Levi Colwill is currently used as a left-back by his team this season, and Southgate acknowledged he too serves as an alternative, Newcastle's right-back Kieran Trippier is most likely to fill the position.
Ben Chilwell of Chelsea was the lone player selected by Southgate for the September roster. But Chilwell is now sidelined with a hamstring issue, joining the already-injured Luke Shaw.
Rico Henry of Brentford, who has previously appeared on squad lengthy lists, is also sidelined due to an ACL injury.
The 24-year-old Mitchell was chosen by Southgate in March 2022 and played twice against Switzerland and Ivory Coast. However, he hasn't been used since.
As a result, Southgate will probably choose to use Kieran Trippier instead of Mitchell to play outside of his position.
Following an injury, John Stones will be brought back to the England team; he is one of the eight defenders chosen.
Along with Mitchell, Jarrow Bowen and Ollie Watkins all back. Like Mitchell, they both last played against Cote d'Ivoire. Rico Henry of Brentford, who has previously appeared on squad lengthy lists, is also sidelined due to an ACL injury.
Mitchell is considering playing for Jamaica and is able to swap teams because his only outings for England were in exhibition matches.
Ethan Pinnock, Michail Antonio, and Demarai Grey are just a few of the England-eligible players that Jamaica has been successful in luring in recent years.
